Dave was born and educated in Devon, England, and moved to Canada
with his wife, Ann, in 1973. After teaching for 37 years in England,
Prince Rupert and the West Kootenays, they retired to Oceanside in 2004.
As watercolour had always appealed to him, Dave began painting when
he turned fifty in preparation for his retirement. He recently began
acrylic painting on local oyster shells, with the proceeds going to a
land mine victim in Cambodia to help him through university.
Dave was a founding member of the West Kootenay Chapter of the
Federation of Canadian Artists and is currently a member of the
Arrowsmith Chapter, as well as the De Cosmos Fine Arts Society.
