Vancouver Opera Orchestra Principal Cellist Ariel Barnes has appeared as recitalist and chamber musician across Canada, the United States and Mexico. Vancouver-based concert pianist Cary Chow continues to captivate and electrify audiences and critics from Montreal to Beijing.

Karen Graves-saxophones and voice

Karen is a multifaceted and extremely talented performer from Lantzville, BC who, after a long and successful tenure with the all-women ensemble Mother of Pearl, has now become a busy Vancouver bandleader, free lance player and studio musician.

Duo Svorzando

Christophe Sturzenegger (piano and horn) and Julie Fortier (piano)


This superb, young chamber music duo based in Switzerland was formed in 2001 by two alumni of  the Conservatoire Supérieur de Musique de Genève (Advanced Music Conservatory of Geneva). The duo’s rare combination of "horn-piano" and "piano four hands"offers an eclectic and exhilarating repertoire that ranges from classical to contemporary.

Brenda Fedoruk-flute and David Vandereyk-piano

Brenda performs as Principal Flute of the Vancouver Opera Orchestra and Second Flute and Piccolo with the CBC Radio Orchestra

David is a piano faculty member at Capilano College and a very active soloist and collaborative pianist in numerous festivals and series throughout British Columbia.

Working with University of Victoria Piano Faculty member Arthur Rowe, we continue with this extremely well-received “series-within-the-series” that features outstanding students and recent graduates of the UVic School of Music.

Johanna Hauser-clarinet and Anna Levy-piano

Johanna Hauser is a highly respected Vancouver chamber musician and a member of the Vancouver Inter-Cultural Orchestra. Anna Levy holds her Doctorate of Musical Arts from The Moscow Conservatory and now maintains a full-time concert and teaching schedule in Vancouver.
