Genevieve and The Wild Sundays

Soaring harmonies, catchy songs, original folk-roots music: this all-female quintet features the award-winning songs of Vancouver-Island homesteading, guitar playing mama Genevieve Charbonneau . With Kelly Sherwin on upright bass, Laura Carleton on percussion, Chandra Crowe on mandolin, and 5 time North American fiddle champion Ivonne Hernandez on fiddle, the music of the Wild Sundays is rooted in old-time country, incorporating Eastern European folk,  Americana, and indi-pop.  Their songs are inspired by homesteading, child-raising, current politics, romances, and the reliance on pocket gadgets. In May 2016 they released their first critically acclaimed studio album “Fine Line”, showcasing the band’s “polished musicianship and shimmering harmonies” that “float through your ears like bluegrass angels”.
