Terry Boyle and Ceilidh Briscoe


Terry Boyle is a singer/songwriter from Dublin, Ireland. With a vast repertoire of Celtic songs, some teary, some cheery, some sing-along and some from the archives, Terry has a song or story for every occasion. Ceilidh Briscoe, fiddler with the world famous Riverdance, is a five time North American Fiddle Champion and All-Ireland Fiddle Champion who has performed in Ireland, the UK, Germany, China, and across North America.

Ever since BC Entertainment Hall of Fame inductee and the Dal Richards Orchestra's inimitable pianist/vocalist last performance here in 2014, an emphatic mantra has consistently reverberated  throughout our gallery: "Invite her back!"  Well, the time has come, and we aim to please...but, please get your tickets early!

Oct. 20 Cuban Music and Salsa  

Rumba Calzada (Featuring vocalist Danay Sinclair)

Led by composer/percussionist Raphael Geronimo, Vancouver’s Rumba Calzada is an eclectic, powerful mix of salsa, jazz, and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Stirring up a mesmerizing Caribbean musical fusion, this JUNO-nominated “world class Latin band” (The Province) makes joyful music that will have you dancing in your seat.

The Johannes Wallmann Quartet
(With Phil Dwyer-tenor saxophone, Ken Lister-bass and Hans Verhoeven-drums)

Born in 1974 in Germany, Johannes Wallmann was raised right here in Qualicum Beach. He studied jazz piano and composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston (B.Mus., 1995) and at New York University (M.A., 1997; Ph.D., 2010), while winning numerous national music competitions and scholarships, as well as two Canada Council artist grants. After moving to New York City in 1995, he quickly established himself as a versatile and in-demand pianist in a wide-range of musical styles. He is currently the Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Wisconsin.

The Balkan Babes


Operating as a collective, without a director, the Victoria-based Balkan Babes showcase
 a cappella music of Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Dalmatia, Georgia, Macedonia, Serbia, and Ukraine. In doing so, they enchant audiences with the penetrating harmonies and asymmetrical rhythms that characterize the rich and ancient musical traditions of the region. While the Balkan Babes strive for an authentic sound in vocal production and pronunciation, they also open up many songs to their own contemporary interpretations and arrangements.

Former Principal Cello for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and current Co-Director of the Vancouver Chamber Players Lee Duckles and  Peabody Institute of Music (Johns Hopkins University) award-winning pianist Lixia Li present an enchanting  program of works by Bach. Beethoven and Chopin.

Sarah Hagen, piano


Canadian pianist Sarah Hagen has performed in concert halls and has been heard on broadcasts throughout North America and Europe. Awarded as Ontario Contact's 2017 Artist of the Year and the British Columbia Touring Council’s 2015 Artist of the Year, and mentioned by The Guardian (Charlottetown) as the Best Classical Performance of 2014, her interpretations have been described as “outstandingly inventive" [University of Waterloo Gazette], ”played flawlessly” [Review Vancouver] and “with great sensitivity and heart.” [Vernon Morning Star]

Victoria's inimitable man of many musical hats will sing (in his wonderful baritone voice) and play piano and accordion as he and his accomplished colleagues draw on his multitude of influences (classical, choral, eastern European folk, gospel, blues and more) and immerse us in the Holiday Spirit with an intriguing assortment of seasonal selections.

  Pianist Wayne Weng’s playing has been described as “vibrant and immensely musical,” and as having “delicacy amounting to almost reverence […] through gossamer touch” (Wiltshire Gazette & Herald). He has performed in Canada, the United States, England, Italy, France, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Serbia, Egypt, Hong Kong and Taiwan.  His performances have been featured on radio stations such as WFMT Chicago, WQXR New York, CBC Radio and Seattle King FM.

  Heartwood is the brand new and perfect pairing of award-winning singer-songwriters Jack Connolly and Genevieve Charbonneau from Vancouver Island’s Cowichan Valley. Jack and Genevieve are outstanding performers in their own right, but when their songwriting talents, charisma and musical chops are combined, the result is roots and folk magic. Soulful harmonies and the interplay of skillful guitar enrich original songs that are clever, intimate and highly accessible.
