Three fine Vancouver clarinetists bring us a wonderfully retrospective program ranging from New Orleans to Contemporary and set in tasteful arrangements created by the players.

A delightful  all-French afternoon with two of Vancouver’s most highly respected musicians. The program will include Debussy's Les Chansons de Bilitis; a group of Fauré chansons; a song-cycle by Poulenc as well as other works to be announced.

Jamie Croil-trumpet, voice

The well-known trumpeter and arranger in the Dal Richards Orchestra pays his first visit to Music On Sunday. Jamie is a true crowd-pleaser whom you will definitely not want to miss!

Pianist Clare Yuan and Clarinetist Liam Hockley

This exceptionally accomplished, young Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in Piano Performance at UBC, presents a program that combines solo piano works and duo selections and includes compositions by Weinberg and Szalowski.  Liam is working on his UBC Master’s Degree in classical clarinet performance.

The captivatingly original music of this great Toronto-based trio combines a reverence for Horace Silver, Lee Morgan and Herbie Hancock with Celtic, Norse and Eastern motifs to create a melodic jazz sound that is at once familiar and exotic.

We are delighted to bring these two superb Vancouver musicians back for the third phase of their ongoing project to spotlight the works of Czech composers. Today’s concert will feature Martinu, Janacek, Nedbal and Dvorak.

The Dal Richards Orchestra once again sends one of its luminaries to Music On Sunday. Pianist/vocalist extraordinaire Diane Lines will have you snappin’ your fingers and tappin’ your toes to a soulful spectrum of jump, boogie-woogie and swing favourites.

lively and dynamic Celtic quartet from Victoria. Cookeilidh brought the house down in their Harvest of Music noon-time concert last year, and everyone insisted on a full-length return concert ASAP.

The PRSQ is extremely popular throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Its members hail from Canada and Taiwan and have appeared in concert in Canada, the U.S., Europe and the Far East. Today’s concert will include works by Beethoven and Smetana.
