Elena Travanut was born in Italy. After moving to Canada, she settled in Northern Vancouver Island where she discovered her love for painting. She found much inspiration from the natural beauty she experienced in the many years she lived here.
Many of Elena's paintings have been inspired by travels in Saint Miguel de Allende, Mexico, Guilan, China and Europe. These travel studies gave her the opportunity to exchange ideas and techniques with other well-known artists
Elena was introduced to art at an early age and trained at the Vancouver School of Art. Her works have been exhibited in Victoria, Vancouver, Toronto and the Old School House Gallery in Qualicum Beach, as well as international private collections. Painting has been Elena's life long passion, and she hopes that her perspective and style are enjoyed by everyone. |
