Janis Gosbee
IMPRINT
Imprint brings together the work of Janis Gosbee and her late father, Chuck Gosbee.
Growing up surrounded by her father's art, Janis became familiar with its colours, forms, and rhythms long before she developed her own artistic voice. His work became part of her everyday life, leaving an imprint on the way she observes, responds, and paints.
Though their work differs in style and scale, both artists share a fascination with interpreting the landscape and exploring the relationship between representation and abstraction.
Presented together, these works reveal how living with art can shape the way we see, and how an artistic sensibility and a way of seeing can be quietly carried forward from one generation to the next.
