Art is in Session

We are open 10- 4pm, Tuesday through Saturday

At The Old School House Arts Centre, we believe art is the heartbeat of our community; an act of service to ourselves and each other. It nourishes the soul, challenges perceptions, and invites beauty into the here and now. As the mid-Island hub for the arts, and leaders in innovation and collaboration, we’re here to help you make, understand, or acquire something that moves you. Led by our open-house philosophy, we welcome people from all walks of life into our studio spaces, classrooms, galleries, and events. We exist to connect the curious and the creative across generations and artistic mediums, and bring the transformative power of art into everyday life.

OUR MISSION

The mandate of The Old School House Arts Centre is to foster a vibrant arts centre that promotes and encourages the development of multi-dimensional artists and musicians for the enjoyment of all ages, residents and visitors alike, in Qualicum Beach and throughout central Vancouver Island.

STRATEGIC PLAN 2026-2030

Arts and cultural spaces strengthen wellbeing, reduce isolation, and help communities stay connected to one another. We see that truth reflected in this building every single day. Our vision is to continue fostering a vibrant creative community where the arts are accessible, celebrated, and woven into the life of Qualicum Beach. TOSH is more than an arts centre. It is a gathering place, a creative hub, and an important part of the heartbeat of this community
