1) Have you had to adapt your studio/home/space to be more suitable to your practice during this time?
I haven’t had to change anything in my studio because of this virus, but I did have ample time to organize it!

2) Can you describe your daily/weekly art practice, anything that you do differently because your studio is in such proximity?
The only thing I have been doing differently since this plague, is have more time to paint at home because I can’t go to paint at TOSH or the McMillan Arts Centre.

3) Has this time of self-isolation changed your practice in any way. I know a lot of artists are missing things (materials, space, etc). Has this time pushed you to be more creative or think outside the box in your practice and can you give us an example?
Nothing has changed except the fact that I have a total sense of freedom because all my commitments have been cancelled or postponed.

4) What is your favourite part about your home-studio?
I love my home studio! It is a gift from my sister and brother in law. It is warm and cozy and just outside my suite, past the deck, so I can go there for a few minutes or all day!

5) Do you have any goals of creativity for this time?
My goals for creativity are basically the same. With spring coming, I am also getting creative with gardening! This year I ordered my seeds on line to avoid shopping in crowds and am starting all kinds of things in the greenhouse! Spinach is up and thriving! Creativity is more than just painting!

6) Any messages you would like to share with everyone during this time?
My message for everyone would be to totally embrace your free time and be grateful  that you live on Vancouver island where you can breathe in the beauty all year around, and are not stuck in a snowbank! For all our friends in the East, I say to be thankful that all you have to do is stay home. And this is a good time to take up a hobby and find your hidden creativity!
