ART IN THE ATTIC 2027
Every house has an attic (or a garage…), and most of these have a few artworks leaning against the wall that nobody has really looked at in years. Maybe you downsized and ran out of walls. Maybe your taste has changed. Maybe you inherited a collection that deserves to be seen by someone new. Our biennial Art in the Attic is back for 2027, and it is your chance to send those artworks somewhere they will be loved again.
Here is how it works.
Fill out our submission form and tell us about up to 5 artworks you would like to sell. You set the price. One of our volunteers will call you to book an intake appointment (these are set for December 15 and 16th currently), and you bring your artworks in then, along with a non-refundable $5 submission fee per artwork. The show runs through January and February, and if your artwork sells, you receive 50% of the sale price by cheque in the mail. The other 50% goes straight back into TOSH programs.
A couple of things to know. Art in the Attic is for secondary market artworks only, which means you cannot submit artworks you made yourself. Only artworks you bought, were given, or otherwise acquired from someone else are eligible. TOSH also reserves the right to refuse any artwork at the intake appointment if it is deemed inappropriate for sale. Unsold artworks must be picked up on February 27, 2027, between 2 and 3 pm.
We kindly ask that folks fill out the form, and then wait for one of our volunteers to give them a call for an appointment. If you have issues filling out the form you can email ops@theoldschoolhouse.org for questions.
